UNV 100

UNV 100 is a required one credit hour course for incoming students at Southern Miss. It is designed to assist
new students in the transition to college during the first eight weeks of their first
semester. New students enrolled in UNV 100 will meet once a week with their course
section to learn campus resources, writing and communication skills, and academic
success strategies.
Here are some things YOU need to know about UNV 100:
- The course syllabus will be available at the start of the semester in
- Every week, students will meet in-person for one hour and complete the corresponding Canvas module.
- Final grades (no pass/pass) will be posted at the end of the semester.
- UNV 100 is only available to students in their first semester at Southern Miss. Students cannot repeat the course if they do not pass.
- New students will be enrolled in UNV 100 during advising before the start of their first semester. If you are unsure if you are required to take UNV 100, your academic advisor can assist.
