Goldengate VPN Access Information

- Remote desktop (RDP) access to a Microsoft Windows server
- SSH access to a Linux-based server
Note: This is a separate account from the University CampusID.
To request an account, please work with your application or systems coordinator. You may also contact the iTech Help Desk at 601.266.HELP (4357), or email helpdeskFREEMississippi.
Information needed:
- First/Last name
- Email address
- Company/Department name
- Name of system(s) access is needed for
- How long account is needed
Once the account is approved and created, an email will be sent with instructions on setting the password and multi-factor options.
Password requirements are:
- Minimum number of characters: 12
- The password must contain three from the following categories:
- 1 uppercase letter (A - Z)
- 1 lowercase letter (a - z)
- 1 numerical value (0 - 9)
- 1 non-alphanumeric character that is not a space. Example: ! $ # @ % * ^ +
Passwords expire every 180 days. Email notifications are sent when the password is about to expire.
Accounts with an expired password older than 90 days are deleted.
Once the account password and MFA options are set, a second set of instructions will be provided on connecting to the Goldengate VPN through the Cisco AnyConnect client.
