Founded in 2016, the Center for Faculty Development provides faculty members with
collaborative and individual opportunities to advance teaching and learning. Operating
under the Office of the Provost, the Center for Faculty Development provides services
and resources that address pedagogy, procedures, and methods for academic discovery
and engagement.
Located in the International Center, Suite 319, the Center for Faculty Development serves as a place for faculty to gather with colleagues, to meet in small groups, or to work independently. We provide space for scheduled sessions as well as unscheduled, informal space for faculty members to visit at any time during open hours.
Our programs include such offerings as:
- ACUE Faculty Development Institute
- Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Faculty Fellows
- Academic Faculty Leadership Institute
- First Year Foundations
- Show Up and Write
- Teaching Consultation and Class Observation
- New Faculty Orientation
Normal operations are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Alternate arrangements may be made to use the Center outside of these times.
