Members of The University of 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) Gulf Park Campus community enjoyed the beautiful fall weather underneath the oak trees and chimney pavilion during the annual Harvest Picnic, held Nov. 2, presented by the Office of Student Engagement.

Jessica Langston, director of Student Engagement and Strategic Initiatives, said the event put on by Student Affairs is a popular event at Gulf Park.

鈥淲e love to see all of our students come outside of the classroom and interact with their peers, faculty and staff,鈥 said Langston. 鈥淥ver the years, this has helped build the community we have at Gulf Park.鈥

The event began with music and free Southern Miss gear for students. Faculty, staff, and students engaged in tug-of-war games. Hot dogs, salad, and a food truck, provided by Denny Wayne鈥檚 Food Truck and Aramark, were perfect additions to the brisk fall day.

Rylie Reynolds, a junior at Gulf Park majoring in psychology, enjoyed the festivities with her classmates.

鈥淭he picnic was really fun,鈥 Reynolds said. 鈥淵ou don鈥檛 get to see everyone come together all of the time, and it鈥檚 nice to have the faculty and staff joining in as well.鈥

The Gulf Park Pantry was also accepting donations and collecting food items during the event to stock up for 麻豆传媒 students.
