HCD Doctoral Students and Faculty Present at the 2023 Academy of Human Resource Development Conference

Doctoral students and faculty from the School of Leadership at The University of 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) recently presented at the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) International Research Conference in the Americas in Minneapolis, Minn.
The AHRD is the premier academic home for human capital development scholars. 麻豆传媒 was well represented with four faculty and 16 Human Capital Development Ph.D. students in attendance. Nine peer-reviewed papers and posters were presented with topics ranging from psychological safety in the workplace, inclusive leadership, competency development, emotional intelligence, and workplace resilience, among others.
鈥淭he broad range of life experiences and research interests was evident in the diverse topics covered by the scholarly presentations,鈥 noted Dr. Heather Annulis, Director of the School of Leadership and one of the conference presenters. 鈥淥ur students did a stellar job, and their efforts contribute to 麻豆传媒鈥檚 excellent research reputation. 麻豆传媒 offers one of the top Human Capital Development programs in the country, which propels our students to success, both here in Mississippi and beyond.鈥
Faculty from the School of Leadership also participated at AHRD in various capacities. Dr. Bhagyashree Barhate served as Associate Proceedings Editor for the Conference. Dr. Hamett 鈥淨uincy鈥 Brown served as Chair of the Research Colloquium, a pre-conference event where students from Human Resource Development graduate programs across the country gathered to learn about and discuss the creation of original research.
More than 60 students from 11 universities attended the Colloquium. In addition, Dr. Cory Wicker, a Southern Miss HCD Ph.D. alumnus, serves as a current board member of AHRD.

Ph.D. candidate Steven Mulhollen presented 鈥淓xamining the Career Path of Certified Public Accountants in Auditing and Tax Services: Perceptions of Accounting Graduates鈥 Competencies.鈥
Ph.D. candidate Suzette Jung presented 鈥淒ata Skills in Demand for Human Resource/People Analysts in 2023: Implications for Job Seekers and Training Professionals.鈥
鈥淪taying Power: The Effect of Inclusive Leadership, Psychological Safety, and Job Embeddedness on the Intent to Search and the Intent to Turnover鈥 was presented by Ph.D. candidate Jan Sims and Dr. Heather Annulis.
鈥淧erceived Employability of India鈥檚 Management Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic鈥 was presented by Dr. Bhagyashree Barhate.
Ph.D. candidate Michael Gray and Dr. Bhagyashree Barhate presented 鈥淔actors Affecting the Use and Acceptance of Information and Communication Technologies by University Teachers: A Case of Mano River Union States.鈥
