Bio

Matthew Hoggatt serves as an Instructor in the School of Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, and Security at Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Gulf Park Campus. Prior to joining the faculty at Â鶹´«Ã½, Matthew worked for three years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as a criminal justice instructor and program coordinator. Prior to working in higher education, Matthew served for over twenty years as a full-time law enforcement officer along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where he worked in numerous positions including patrol, community policing, and felony investigations. Matthew volunteers as a Team ADAM Consultant for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as well as a consultant for the DNA Doe Project, a non profit organization which uses investigative genetic genealogy to identify previously unidentified human remains. Matthew earned a BA degree from Â鶹´«Ã½ as part of the Complete to Compete (C2C) program in 2018, and a Master’s in Criminal Justice from William Carey University in 2020.
