Dr. Marion Patti

Bio
Marion Patti, DNP, RN, is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. She has more than 15 years of experience in health care. Dr. Patti’s graduate research explored the relationship between antithyroid antibodies and quality of life in patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. In 2021, her systematic review was published in an academic peered-review journal. Dr. Patti is passionate about simulation as an educational tool for her nursing students. She is a Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society member. As a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association, she was elected to serve as a delegate to the state conference in 2021. Dr. Patti is the current Asbury Distinguished Nursing Professor and coordinates a grant project in collaboration with Edward Street Fellowship Health Clinic. The grant is made possible through the Asbury Foundation Distinguished Professor in Nursing fund and the University’s Institute for Disability Studies.
