Bio
Karen Phelan Kozlowski received her PhD in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016, her Master's degree in Sociology from UNC Chapel Hill in 2011, and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Wittenberg University in 2008. Her interest in social inequality began while working for a free legal clinic in Indianapolis, as a legal education outreach coordinator for Burmese refugees in the area. Her work currently focuses on educational inequality, with an emphasis on racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic inequality in education.
