Laura Malone
Lecturer
Bio
I began my professional career with Southern Miss in 1997. During my time, I have served students in positions within Student and Academic Affairs at both the Hattiesburg and Long Beach campuses, and my teaching experience covers a range of topics: Learning Strategies, University Studies, Liberal Studies, Transfer Student Success, and Leadership Seminar courses. My most rewarding work is facilitating student pathways to academic, professional, and personal success, and most importantly, minimizing the “transfer shock” that so many of our students face. Currently, I am an instructor in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Professional Development.
