Pre-Award Services
Our department aims to serve researchers in the pre-award phases of grant proposals. This includes establishing a detailed proposal timeline that will ensure proposals are submitted in a timely manner. We also include in-depth aid in determining forms, templates, and processes needed for each specific funding agency as well as assistance in submission in InfoEd. Our services also include assistance in establishing budgets based on university guidelines.
Assist by thoroughly reading the RFP/FOA, noting all items that must be included in the proposal, along with any requirements for formatting, page limits or section header requirements.
Create a timeline for completing and submitting sections of the proposal to keep the project on track throughout the process, reducing the likelihood of last-minute cramming which can lead to errors or omissions. All major milestones of the proposal process will have clear deadlines.
Budget options include assistance in creating, review, and submission of budgets within the university guidelines. Templates provided for budget management upon award.
Monday.com is a project management software that allows for all documentation, collaboration and correspondence related to the project to be housed and managed in one place, reducing time and effort spent looking through emails or folders to find files or information.
Act as liaison to ORA, communicating your intentions and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner for the entire pre-award phase.

Upon award, a budget template is developed specific to each funded award, with the option of budget management for the life of the grant.
With the use of Monday.com, at the end of each grant life-cycle utilizing post-award management, all documents from proposal to the close-out process are available for seven years.
