As a partner in the Mississippi Alliance, Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s School of Computing Sciences and Computer
Engineering hosts strategic activities and initiatives to improve the recruitment,
retention, and graduation rates of students traditionally underrepresented in STEM
majors and careers. LSMAMP aligns with the goals of the NSF INCLUDES Mississippi Alliance
for Women in Computing (NSF 1649312) to increase the numbers of women on computing
pathways.

Become a Mentor
As an LSMAMP Scholar, you will be required to enroll in a special topics course section for which you will work on a research project. Each participant will receive a $500 stipend.
LSMAMP provides paid mentors who provide academic support and guidance for undergraduates
who are members of an under-represented minority group. Students who are juniors and
seniors can apply to be a mentor.
Summer Bridge Applications are open for our 2023 Summer Bridge Program that will be held July 10 - 13. Participants will reside in Â鶹´«Ã½ residence halls for 3 nights, will meet faculty and current students, and establish a cohort of peers in computing majors. Apply today! Space is Limited!
